THE RUMBLE

THE Rock 'n' Roll Rumble

We've seen times change, 104.1 WBCN has gone away (while WBCN.com lives on).
The Rumble remains a time-honored Boston rock institution, a beloved community event, a rallying point for many who play and support music in the city and a way for bands to make a little money and get some prizes.

While no band applies to play, there are certain requirements for consideration. They include, but are not limited to:

Band/artist must have reached out to the show, sent music and received airplay by Anngelle Wood to be considered.

Band/artist should be established in the music community. An established local band is one which is actively playing out in Boston/Cambridge/Somerville areas. Twice a year at the beach is not active.

Band/artist must have released a recording, EP or full length, within the past calendar year.

While members of the local music community are consulted, Anngelle Wood chooses which bands/artists participate and issues the official invitations.

Invited bands/artists may be disqualified from participating for a number of reasons including poor sportsman/womanship, whining, cheating, outright douchebaggery and other behavior deemed unnecessarily stupid.

It's about having a good time. That's really the point here.
